International Research Scholars Program 2016
The Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI), the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Wellcome Trust, and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation announce the International Research Scholars Program which aims to support up to 50 outstanding early career scientists/physicians worldwide. The program’s aim is to help develop scientific talent worldwide. Awardees will receive a total of $650,000 over five years, and they can do research in their own countries. Investigators from around the world can apply, but please review eligibility criteria. We are wondering if you would be willing to refer your fellows or junior investigators to this program.

Proceedings from the Workshop on"The Heritage of Ancient and Urban Sites: Giving Voice to Local Priorities"(held last March 2016) can now be downloaded from the website of ISEAS !
Papers from this workshop organized by the Nalanda-Sriwijaya Centre are case studies from six Southeast Asian countries: Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore and Thailand. They range from grassroots initiatives to transregional and UNESCO World Heritage Sites, showcasing how on-site education and cooperation sustain community awareness and participation in safeguarding sites for future generations.
